Overview
JICA ASM helps in promoting understanding and fellowships between the Republic of Maldives and Japan. The JICA Alumni Society of Maldives is committed to provide a platform for members to share their knowledge and experience that they have learnt in Japan with communities, the government and beyond to stimulate development in accordance with the rapid changing world and use the knowledge for benefiting and advantages of our nations. Also to reinforce merit in order to develop attitude, ethics, capacity as well as virtue.

The seminar on Health & Mental Wellbeing was conducted by Dr. Fathimath Shara Shareef. JICA ASM in collaboration with Laamu Atoll Council, Women’s Development Committee, Laamu Gan Regional Hospital and local NGOs.
Zero Plastic Awareness session on the impacts of single use plastics, and importance of eliminating single use plastics conducted in Meemu Atoll by JICA ASM in collaboration with CEL NGO of M. Mulah.
If people do not know their rights or have the power to make important decisions, they will struggle to improve their lives.
